Dallas restaurant suggestions?

Any Dallas residents or travelers have some suggestions for restaurants that would be worth making reservations for if the Only Mate and I end up there the weekend of February 6-8? I'm thinking steaks and ribs...nice or dives. I haven't firmed a hotel yet, so location is a little iffy but we'll be somewhere relatively sort of close to the stadium...maybe?

I was in Dallas a couple of months ago and had dinner with a client at Nick and Sam's steakhouse. Fantastic food and the service was impeccable. Not a dive.

If you decide you want to try some Mexician, give El Fenix a shot. It was excellent when I lived in Dallas for a short time a few years ago.

III Forks - great steaks, great atmosphere - very Texas.
R&D Kitchen - cool American cuisine.
Javier's - Great Mexican

Those are all nicer places. If you want dives, let me know I have those too. If you want middle of the road, I can help you out there too. I get to Dallas once a month.

Check out Gilley's Bar while you're there too. Really fun and you can ride the bull too! (remember Urban Cowboy?) I lasted all of 3 secs on the bull.

It's a fun place to go every once in a while. I do feel older and older every time I go in there though.

If you will be downtown, you can't go wrong with Nick & Sam's. Another suggestion would be Ocean Prime.

But if you are going to be in Arlington, you will have a little hike there and most of places suggested. If you do stay in Arlington, Fort Worth is a closer. Eddie V's and Del Frisco's are in FW and would be good choices.
