One of the companies I workdoes composite cutless bearings and of course shaft seals I’m hauling my boat in a couple of weeks and want to change out to the composite product that we sell for obvious reasons I’m trying to confirm what Morse bearing is a direct replacement this strut boat

I’ve come up with this but I’m looking for confirmation!!

any help would be great



Morse E02800 Grouper Brass Bearing 1.750"

A-Shaft Size: 1.750"

B-Outside Diameter: 2.375"

C-Length: 7.000"

Metal Wall Thickness: 0.125"
 
Brow was what mine was, I think Ryan has a 2002 and was the same.

what are the benefits of the composite?
in larger / commercial vessels its noise and wear.. with composites you don't need water flow or much of it.. if I did not sell these I would stay with metallic but I am doing some testing etc ...plus they are a pretty blue or green color LOL
big yachts like Viking have used composites for years..

Interesting. I find rubber is an interesting choice for a bearing material, curious to know how this works out.

too late for me, just replaced in December.
