I am so proud of my husband and one of our great friends! They built a custom mount for our new TV.

I thank all the posters about TV's. We bought a 19" LED TV.

This mount was built so the top of the TV covers the hole. A DVD player and speakers will be mounted below the TV. We're heading to the boat tomorrow to install it, I'll post pictures of that later.

That looks great! I have a neighbor that has a metal fabricating business and I could have him make this. Better than the wood monster I was planning (to match Sea Ray's stock mount)

I like the mount as much as the Mark Twain quote.

Whew! We, or should I say, they mounted the TV and other equipment last night. Yippe! It fit and looks great! It had better as it took them a total of about 18 hours from start to completion. They did it right, even powder coating the mount.
OK, now for the photos:
This is of the base without the wood on it.

Here's the mount on the base:

This looks great. I assume this is installed in the cabinet opening where the original small TV was in the galley. Can you post a photo showing the overall view of the TV within the galley?

That's a great job- very well thought out.

Thanks for posting the rest of the pictures. You didn't mention a slide-out mount in the first post, and I kept looking at the first picture of the mount...and looking...and looking... and couldn't figure out how you were going to use it!

Sure, It will won't be until this weekend though... Oh wait! That's tomorrow!! We're heading down to the boat for weekend! :smt038

Yes, It's installed into the cabinet where the old TV "box" went. We used the same sliding system as it's really the only place we could mount a new TV.

Here's the photo of the TV within the galley area.

Thanks - much appreciated.

Very nice.

Did you enlarge the origanal opening or is the 2000 340 interior that much different from the 1999 330?

No, we didn't enlarge the opening. The TV is mounted higher, to cover the top of the opening. The opening just fix the swivel mount and old Panasonic TV/VCR combo.
