Custom Mattress - Any advice, cost estimate, etc.?

Age is taking a told on our old bones and the wife and I are thinking about buying a new mattress for the 370 EC. We have a 2" memory foam topper on the OEM mattress, but it is not doing the trick. Any experiences you can share? How much does one cost? Thanks.

I went to a local mattress manufacture and they customized the mattress exactly how we wanted considering its 6 sided and chamfered on the edges it was under 900 bucks. now the gf and I like sleeping on the boat better then home... there are some mattress people online but have not personaly dealt with them... let's see what others come up with. Also the original matress factory does great work have friends that have used them also good. Good luck

That's the company that made mine. I can't help with new pricing since I got lucky and bought off a fellow CSR member who bought a bigger boat and sold it to me. I can tell you, however, that HMC makes a high quality bed that's extremely comfortable. They can customize it however you like. The hinge shown allows access to the storage under it. Best investment we have made to the boat so far. Good luck! Brian

For some reason the HMC mattress that came with our boat just fits 'too big' for the area and rides slightly up the sides of the hull. Not too terrible but enough that the bed feels a little bit like a bowl.

another vote for HMC....

I have one too and it's very comfortable and is a 'real' mattress. The template process is fairly quick and simple.

For what it's worth guys, I found out that Hatteras Yachts uses HMC for their beds. Hatteras is located here in New Bern, NC and I asked a friend who they used.
