Just a heads up on something I spotted on one of my engines this past weekend. I had taken the air sep off the turbo to gain some access to remove the aftercooler for service and do an impeller change. When reinstalling the air sep hoses, I noticed the ccv tube was resting against the fuel return line at the #6 injector. Over the years the engine vibration has caused a considerable amount of wear on both parts. Just something you may want to check and possibly save yourself some grief down the road. In the second picture, you can see that all that is required to remedy is simply loosening the clamp and sliding the ccv tube to the rear slightly. Hopefully all is well, but worth a check. Good luck

WOW, that could have been ugly mess. Nice catch!!! How difficult is it to replace that fuel line?

Ok. I kinda can't tell what you did for sure so I'll take a very uneducated guess. Is the ccv tube the white painted small diameter tube? Is the red ring a marker to show which clamp to loosen? By moving it "rear" do you mean aft or outward toward the side of the boat?

Told ya I didn't know what I was talking about.

Bill, the crankcase ventilation tube is the large tube that was laying on the small fuel return line. Squeeze the hose clamp to loosen it and the tube can be slid back (aft) to allow more clearance at the point of contact. You can see how much I slid it back by the unpainted area that is now exposed. The red marker is not related to this issue, just a plastic anchor in the valve cover......Now you know. ;)

Wonderful. I got them all wrong. That's a big fat zero on that quiz. Ha!

Not hard, it's the mess that it would have made that would be the issue. You wouldn't know it until you smell the fuel or see the mess. I was at Cummins today picking up some parts for one of our pieces of equipment, and they gave me a price of 160 for the line and the sealing washers.....always something
