I am interested in purchasing a 2005 420 Sedan Bridge with Cummins 480CE engines. I'm sure some of you have experience with not only this boat, but with the 480CE's that have 1300 hours, and would appreciate your thoughts, etc.

My plan to purchase is in 3 steps. First a sea trial to give it a general check. Then an engine survey by a Cummins authorized company, and then a survey of the rest of the boat. How does this sound to you. Is there anything I'm missing or could do better?

I would read this and find out if the props were tuned for the power output. I have a friend with issues described on this motor because of that. I own the 450 Diamond C before the E version.
