Taking dinghies to downtown. Is there room for this multihull thing?

Admirals are all out grocery shopping this AM, at some point were going to head over to ego alley and try running our dinghy raft in. We have done it twice now on our dinghy tours, I think we have it mastered!

If anyone is interested, there’s an art fest in town, up the Main Street. Heading back to jump in a pool.

    Hope to connect in Fairlee.

For your approach (if your not familiar)

Pay attention to markers. Channel goes very close and parallel to the beach. There's a shoal directly outside the cut so dont try to go straight in.

Cut into creek has a swift current. It will spit boats out sideways. Try to hit at slack tide or go against tide if possible. On Wednesday, that'll be before 14:00. Of course, I don't think we'll make it there by then.

Main areas to raft up are to right of channel when you get into the creek. I wouldn't go too far outside though as it gets shallow around the beach and there are some obstructions closer to shore. Most other areas will keep 8'+ under the boat.

That's about all I know. Hope it helps.

FYI. Latest report of debris is that it's pretty bad from eastern channel to eastern shore, which is where ya'll are heading tomorrow and on. Lots of reports of nasty stuff up at the head of the bay.

We had a change of plans last night.

Five of us are heading to anchor in in the basin at Chesapeake City, then moving on to Cape May on Thursday. From there we start splitting off to head home.

I guess I can't complain much since it's nearing the end of the trip - but this sucks. Wife and I had a brilliant plan to escape the clutches of work, grab the kids, and play hookie for three days.

At any rate, safe travels heading back. Sorry we couldn't connect.

Inspiration arrived to Kent Narrows anchorage. We’re here until Friday am, then heading back up north.

If anyone is around, feel free to join. We might take a slip at Meres tomorrow.

    JOHN,

How many hours do you have on the QSM11’s?

Considering moving to a sedan bridge and QSM11’s are an option. Just getting as much data as I can...

    Thanks,
    Steve

Were right around a thousand now as were the third Owners of her. First owner took care of her well as did the second. To my knowledge all of the QSM11M since the exceeded 450HP, to 660 then 715 have the dry exhaust issues. They require some extra care with manifold temperatures exceeding 1,000 degrees which causes expansion & contraction that leads to leaks which then become an issue. I knew this from a friends 480MY and loads of 480DB right on through lots of others boats.

From what I’ve learned over the years it seems every Boat engine has its on issue and ya need to know what it’s strenghts & weaknesses are and then understand and take care of them!

The 480, 500 & 52DB’s imho are some of Sea Rays beat looking selling boats of all times and I dint think I’m alone with these thought what you see some many of them out there

Was good to meet you thanks for stopping by.

With a rainy forecast the majority of the group arrived home yesterday after a stop in Atlantic City.

We had flat calm seas from AC all the way up to NYC where we parted ways.

Was an awesome trip with a great group of people, looking forward to what next year brings, and future trips back to visit more of the Chesapeake, hopefully without so much debris!!!

We are still on LI sound looking for a good weather window to run the rest of the way home, but not in a huge rush since we planned to be out 2 more days.
