CSR Northeast Flotilla 2015

Hey guys,
working on buying a 340. Have a 34 ft slip at Brewers Cowesett, so i better buy the boat now. The 2 yards are confusing, but here goes. The Northern most yard, has a Chelo's restaurant and outdoor band area. Concrete docks, pool, loads of people, and noise.
The southern yard, no bar, has pool, very nice bathrooms, washer dryer, grills. Its quiet and not busy. No fuel. Does have pumpout.
In East Greenwich cove, Blue is the new waterfront rest/bar. Very nice, but expensive.
I live in East Greenwich, my real estate office is 400ft from Brewers, if I can be of any help answering questions, please ask.
Looking at 2 more boats in the am, hopefully joining you all.
Bud

Thanks for the info, Bud. Good luck with your purchase.

Well I love beer and steak, but bring wine for my steak!!!! Cause Mine will be running all night from now on!!!!
And then you always have the greedy guy :smt101
Im jk just out of curiosity how much do this big boat diesel generators burn an hour at an average load?

I was told about 1-1/2 8 pks of Guinness per night :smt043no about 1 gal per hour I was told to expect

Anyone here on the northeast know an owner of 2014 or 15 searay sundancer 280. Im thinking of buying the boat but would like to talk to an owner.

sorry for the off topic

You should start a new thread with that question. Not that I don't like a good hijack but, you may not get many replies with an off topic request under a titled thread. Many people here probably skip this thread if they are not interested in the flotilla.

Now that "YOU" are back from "YOUR" Bahamian cruise can we talk about "OUR" trip now? Huh Alex???

You mean our trip to Northern Caribbean? I can’t wait and can talk about all day long.

Anyone didn't book their slips yet? Don't wait too long or they'll be gone.

Alex, now that you are back in the states, when are you planning to bring your boat back north?

Sometime next month. As long as she's back before the Air show, I'll be happy.

Listen if you don't have the time u can always give me your c c for fuel and ill fly down to bring her back!

Be careful what you offer young grasshopper. Remember, that credit card will only have enough money on it for you to travel at hull speed!

As I recall, choice of a marina in E. Greenwich was an open item. Those who are going to Greenwich and wish to be in marina, did you guys finalize your choice?

Brewers

Which one did you pick, "Brewer Cowesett North" or "Brewer Yacht Yard at Cowesett"? I know they're close to each other and use the same phone #, but list different address.

I don't recall which one they put me in, but I explained I'm with 2 kids, need to be near a pool, and would like the nicer of the two. That's where they put me.

Mike,

I just spoke to Adam. He said that most likely they put you in Brewer Cowesett North. Even though both locations have a pool, the North side is larger facility and acommodates smaller and larger vessels. I explained Adam about the flotilla and that we might have more people looking for a slip.

I'll post te marina info on the first page.

To all who's going to E. Greenwich and would like to be in a marina instead of rafting in the anchorage area, use the info below and ask to be placed in the North section. This way the group will stay together.

An FYI for the flotilla - I heard Champlins was almost fully booked due to The Boat Basin not opening this year. Well the Boat Basin resolved the estate issues, which originally they did not think would happen, and are opening this season. They plan to start taking reservations next week. Perhaps some space at Champlins will free up. If not there should be lots of availability at the Basin.

Hey guys, for some reason our thread has been quite for a while. I wanted to start thinking about some activities, especially those that will require advance reservations.

We have briefly discussed the option of doing the group bike tour on Ocean Drive in Newport. Can we get an idea on the headcount, so we can start looking at the rental places
and perhaps reserving the bikes? I'm positive that if we'll need 10-20 bikes an advanced reservation will be needed.

Here's one of the places I've rented scooters in the past, so you can have an idea and possibly call them with your questions. In short, bikes are renting for $7 p/hr
or $30 p/day.
