CSR Northeast Flotilla 2014

Quick update on Champlin's:

I just spoke with the dockmaster and he said that even though the list I'll email will be helpful, the main thing for everyone is to indicate on the reservation form that you're part of the "Club Sea Ray Flotilla". This way they'll know and will make their effort to keep the group together.

I have the copy of the reservation form, so PM me your email address and I'll forward it to you. Otherwise, you can get it directly from Champlin's.

Alex,
Thanks for speaking with Champlins. We have the form and will put the flotilla info on it.

I have clearance from the Admiral, please move us to the Participants List! We will be staying in the marinas for all ports (easier with the dog and our 5 year old son). We may leave Block a day or two early to make the trip back home to get to work on Monday, but we will play that by ear when we get closer to the trip. We are all looking forward to the trip. This will be the longest trip we have taken on any of our boats in both time and distance.

That's great news, Harold. You're officially on the list of participants now. Don't forget that we have group of boats traveling from GSB, so you might want to consider traveling with them.

Welcome Harold! Let us know if you want to run with us! I'm leaving Friday afternoon from my area & heading to Shinnecock. This way it's a stone throw to shelter Saturday morning!

Hi Alex -

Liz and I are going to have to withdraw from this year's event. We are moving to Seattle. At the moment our boat is coming with us. Having said that and know this isn't the proper spot on Club Searay to post, but given the enthusiasts on this thread (some of which have seen our boat), I am considering a sale.

What? A 2005 Sundancer 390. Twin Diesels. ~650 Hours on the mains. Onan diesel generator. New SS Refridge and SS Drawer type freezer (both Isotherm and installed last season). Dual C120 Ray Marine chart plotters. Just put $41k into a complete repaint of the hull this past fall with Awlgrip paint....factory new finish (by ex-searay staff) and no more dulling gelcoat typical of blue hulls of this vintage from Sea Ray to worry about.

Fantastic boat all around. Anyone interested, PM me for other details.

Tom

Hey Tom,
Sorry to hear that you won't be making it but wish you and Liz all of the best on your move to the left coast!
Was this a job transfer? If you don't want to discuss it hear just shoot me a pm! Good luck!

Thanks Todd. Indeed the move is job related with a new firm but still in the energy sector. Despite the less than sunny weather and bone chilling waters, the actual boating life out in the PAC NW is quite fantastic and year round, so we are looking forward to that.

We are torn regarding our current boat (take or buy new out there) which you have seen...she's in tip top shape and most important, we know her inside and out and just a puppy with the diesels.

If you know anyone in the market and that is serious, let me know.

Enjoy the flotilla this year....I'm sure it won't disappoint!

Tom

Alex,
Please include us on your Boat list for Mystic Shipyard & Island Boat Yard. Our Boat info is the same as yours.
Thanks,

Thanks Todd,
We are considering getting the early start Friday. We can discuss the plans when we get closer to the trip, maybe if we link up in Zach's Bay as we watch the Blue Angels fly over our heads.

Tom,

Sorry you won't be joining us. You have some twisting changes going on there. First Stamford and now Seattle. Oh well, life can be full of surprises. I wish you and Liz all the best.

Cheers,
Alex.

Tom,
She is definitely a beautiful boat! You should have no trouble selling her. Good thing you didn't jump on that 420 DA in Newport, Huh? Lol

Thanks Todd. Funny how things work isn't it! If she doesn't come with us...we'll both be upset...bizarre how you build such a trust in a boat. Buying another is daunting..but....

Hi Alex

we will be docking at champlains also.

Neil

Sounds good, Neil. I've added you to the list of boats for Champlin's. Let me know if you need me to email you their reservation form.

If anyone wants to use my mooring in Mystic instead of getting a slip let me know via pm - the marina (Mystic Shipyard) will charge you - but it shouldn't be much - the limit is 33' or so

CSR Northeast Flotilla - 151 days

Aquapalooza - approximately 131 days

Jones Beach Air Show - 75 days

Launch date - ?????

Finally seeing the snow melt and having temperatures that STAY above 50 degrees - PRICELESS!!!!
