CSR Northeast Flotilla 2013

One of the more casual restaurants is the Brick Alley Pub (www.brickalley.com), good food but usually crowded.
Another casual one is the Red Parrot (www.redparrotrestaurant.com), very big menu and a lot of seating

Alex, I know you and I ate at the Red Parrot but not sure you were with us at the Brick Alley...

Oh yeah, the Red Parrot looks like a good candidate to accommodate our group.

Folks, I know it's a bit early, but I just want to make sure we're all on the same page. In order for us to make reservations we need to have an idea in what restaurant we would like to dine, on which day and have approximate head count.

So umm what r we doing bout this hurricane coming up the coast. We've been looking forward to this for months it better not ruin it.

I will ask that they re-route it, don't worry.

What hurricane? I've been working so much this past week I haven't even seen the news. I Actually just got home from work after going in at 9:30 this morning.

How many times have I told you, these half days is no way to build a business!:smt021

At Block - Narragansett House overlooks the Salt pond and is MUCH less busy than the Oar......

Mike, it looks like the restaurant is right on the water or very close to. Do you know if there's a dinghy dock nearby?

What you guys think about this? Do you feel like doing it one night in Block or do we just eat out?

BBQ Party (Seafood grilling)
One year after clamming we got few other stuff from local seafood market and had a BBQ party. It was awesome. Anyone is up for it this time?

Alex,

I don't eat seafood so a seafood grill wouldn't be an attraction for me. You guys can certainly have one & I'll find something else to do!

X, I'm planning on going out FI inlet around 07:30 to keep some water under us. If this works for you let me know .

Hi Joe

What time do you think you will reach moriches? If the ocean is not too rough I might join you on the outside. If its too sloppy I will run the inside with Todd.

if your gunna b out of the inlet by 730 ill leave my dock about 6and will probably be waiting at the red can. But depending on the track of dorian has a huge effect on inside or out for me. I had my mind made up to def run outside with you but if she kicks the ocean up to much I'm sure ill be staying in along with yourself.

Tod.
Hows the engines coming along? Did u short haul and clean yet?
Anyway what are your departure times? What are your plans?

Apparently carb is done. Worked about 28 hours the last two days so haven't done shakedown. I'm heading there tomorrow. I don't think it was short hauled yet.
Not real sure of departure yet. It will depend on ocean conditions. If seas are calm, I'll prob depart around 7am. If its crappy outside then I will prob depart much earlier trying to catch at least a foot of the high tide as it recedes from 4:40am high in Moriches bay. I know Neil is very concerned about Joes report but even more scared of an area in Shinnecock bay that he got stuck at a few years ago.

Talk about cutting it close???!!! Don't worry I'm bringing my scuba gear and tank just in case somebody wraps something up or maybe needs a cleaning.

When you come up with a departure plan text me call me post up here just so I can figure out my time if the sea gods decide to be mean .

Oh man I'm excited. just called up for my fuel delivery next Wednesday. Doing my oil changes, holding tank filter (your welcome), wash and wax on Saturday. And will be loading food cloths beer liquor wine and so on the rest of the week. Am I missing anything?

X,
If it looks like a bad run outside we can go back to the plan where you guys come east Thursday night & we crash at my marina. I just went over the tides etc with Neil & I'm thinking of departing my marina at 06:00 to get through Moriches.

For some reason not many people talk about this, but I've posted all the coordinates of the troubled area in the 2010 Rendezvous thread. Morriches happened to be a walk in the park compare to what I saw in Shinecock Bay. So, don't overlook this area, guys.

Use the one at the boat basin - you could throw a stone and hit it from there...

Excellent! That makes it a great candidate with easy access by dinghies. I'll pencil Narragansett House in for one of the nights in Block.
