CSR...New Look? WHY???

I've been so used to CSR over the years...it's practically automatic to browse the content and think, react, respond in a very satisfying way. But, just like when all these ads started popping up, it seems there is a new format, layout and font style to distract us. I simply don't understand why they go and change shit that never needed to be changed in the first place.

New website, need to roll with the times. Things get outdated and new hardware requires new software. For the record, I hate change also.

The site has just undergone a major upgrade. Tried to keep everything looking as familiar as possible, but everything behind that is new. Please kindly report your problems here in this thread. I will try to address each as presented, thank you.

The ads are BRUTAL. They show up in people’s posts, the top 2/3 of the screen, the entire bottom, sometimes 3 or 4 at a time.
I get there needs to be revenue but at the expense of the user experience?.

Please post all this in my link or it's just going no where. The CSR admin, Jim, also owner of this board and BOEMarine, is monitoring that thread. We don't need another one that no one is looking at.

I run Adblock Plus on my browser and see no ads. However in response to the complaints, I tested the site by shutting off Adblock for CSR. All I see is small bar ad across the top and a small vertical bar on the side. See the snip below... Running WIN10 using Chrome as a browser. So is it the site or your configuration?

I don’t mind the ads, used to it from the porn sites. Its the slow load and No connection that is annoying.
Win11/Edge & IPhone 11/iOS 16.?.

I'll be the contrarian. I like the new site. To me it's cleaner and faster. I am a sponsor so that may make a difference but I haven't really experienced the ad overload.

I do follow the site with Chrome on a PC 80% of the time so that may be different than the rest of you as well.

Definitely noticing that the server times out and goes away at certain times of day
