Crystal River Scallop Season

I am planning a weekend to Crystal River this year to do some scalloping. I am new to this and do not know of any good spots. Does anyone have any coordinates/locations that they would not mind sharing with me?

Maybe we can get a group of us together or something?

i used to do that as a kid. i don't have any spots, but i seem to remember we were realtively shallow (6-8 feet of water), over grass. you scrum the grass around a little, and they dart out, then you net them.

there are a lot of hotels and stuff up there that you can probably help you.

They move around, so be ready to find the areas where they are hanging out. Once you do, there will be dozens of them. Look for the crowds in dinghys and the like.
