Also docking for the 1st time this year, looking forward to Marina life and some long weekends and daily boat trips out on Georgian Bay.

Tomorrow we are heading to Florida from Wrightsville Beach, NC. for a 9 day run.

Can I follow along

This week and next is my only foreseeable busy weeks this summer so, we'll spend many 3-4 even 5 day weekends onboard this year with one 2 week trip (Where to TBD) and a 7 day trip or two. We usually don't decide where to go until we leave our marina, makes for an interesting trip.

Getting ready to leave Charleston next week and heading back to Toledo. Taking my time (4 weeks) up the Atlantic & ICW, Chesapeake, Delaware, Hudson, Erie Canal, and Lake Erie.

This summer hopefully I will be able to get up north to Georgian Bay, Mackinac & Traverse City.

On the way back to Charleston in the fall my plan is to return with a detour thru Lake Ontario, the St Lawrence River, and Lake Champlain.

Other than that just some 3 day trips around Lake Erie during the summer, and the South Carolina coast in the fall.

Hopefully to the Keys or Islands next January.

We will hang out in northern Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Probably go to Beaver Island, Harbor Springs, Petosky, Charlevoix. Maybe head over to Wisconsin ending up in Milwaukee before shooting across the lake to Grand Haven. We may go to the North Channel just prior to going to Wisconsin. We will hit Leland to check out their new marina on the way north, but never really plan anything other than when to take showers and where to eat. The nice thing about boating to us, is not being programmed.

Weekend trips around west central Florida and Tampa Bay, a long weekend in May at South Seas Plantation on Captiva, a week in June to Port Lucaya on Grand Bahama, and a yet to be scheduled trip to Key West. Florida is great!

House on Winnipisaukee with dock for 10 days in July with the wife and 3 kids. Should be awesome.

Other than that, the usual every weekend, with probably a day a week during the weekdays when the lake is empty to do lots of boarding this year.

Day trips and overnighters in the local lakes. Then we'll haul the boat out to Vancouver in mid July and spend 3 to 4 weeks in the straits of georgia, first heading up to desolation sound for a while, then to Comox for my high school reunion and then maybe to the gulf islands for the later part of the trip.

Every weekend. Long weekends (but not around hollidays)to the Keys. Maybe a week in July to Freeport/Lucaya.

We usually leave every Thursday night and return Sunday night or Monday morning and plan on the same this year. We've also got a 2 week trip planned for Montauk, Block, Newport, Essex, American Wharf, Greenport and Shelter Island. Can't wait boat goes in next week.

Would love to do a week long trip, but a family vaction to Vail this summer, then a trip to Vienna, followed by a weekend in California, with "work" somewhere in the midst of all that, and the afternoon and weekend trips are about all we are going to be able squeeze in. Not complaining, as to even have a boat and be able to do all that feels pretty fortunate.

Isn't it a POLL and not poLE? Better get that straightened out before you publish a book Gary... ;)

MV and ACK again this year. Will do more weekends than last year.

...Our "extended" trip this year will be to cruise from Tampa Bay (Tierra Verde) to Key West, making 2-3 stops in between. We plan to stop near Boca Grande, then Marco Island, continue to Key Largo and finish in Key West!! We'll be taking almost 2 weeks in the summer for that. I hope gas prices don't go up too much!!

My neck of the woods... Where "near Boca Grande"? We are docked at Palm Island Marina for the month of July. Stop by. Better yet, we should get a CSR get-way to the keys for SW FL boaters going. Aquapalooza will be at Cayo Costa. Many of the local MarineMax boaters will spend the night before on the hook in Pelican Bay for an all nighter raft up.

We have a week scheduled over the 4th of July heading across Lake Michigan from Wisconsin to New Buffalo Michigan and St. Joeseph MI. That is the resevations for the first 3 nights, then we plan to wonder up north with no particular schedule other than to be back in Racine by 7/11.

We try to do a long weekend crossing to Saugatuck MI everyyear and a couple of trips to northern WI ports.

We will spend a week on the lake (Lake St-Louis) in June, then two weeks in July doing the Rideau Canal. Great swimming and friendly folks. Starting May 9th we spend every weekend on the boat, since we live 5 minutes away from the marina, sleeping there during the week is great, up early, shower at home and off to work... Hope everyone gets great boating weather this summer!
