Cruise speed of 2000 vintage 420AC

Hi Everyone,
Looking for a new to me boat and considering the above. What are the cruise speed w 420hp Cummins? There is a 450hp variant as well so assume that would improve a little.
Any issue with the Cummins in these boats?

I don't have one but have read about them. There are several members here who have them, don't know why they haven't responded. The difference between the cat 420 and cummings 450 isn't huge, and either engine is a good one. I have read the cummings is the better choice but I would buy either boat. Cruise should be around 22 kts so that means (for me, I don't push my engines) I would be looking at an 18 to 20 cruise if I owned the boat. Hope that helps

From the info I have read, the top speed is 28 knots so cruise of 22 should be easy cruise without pushing. Someone with a gas version of a AC boat (not sea ray)....laughed and said no way...expect 18knots at best.
Sold my SD so looking for the next boat. This is one is on my list of potentials

I have the CAT 3126 (420hp) and cruise around 20knts. I wouldn't expect 22knts.
