I just launched the boat and was testing out all systems.
When I turned on the AC panel breaker for the Air Conditioner, the Air conditioner went on. However; the SMXII control panel was reading 72 degrees in Heat Mode. The problem is that none of the buttons on the SMXII control are doing anything. I can't turn it off, switch to cool or get any other to button function. I looked up the troubleshooting guide and tried hitting the button combination for the factory reset. That had no effect.
I unplugged and replugged the SMXII Remote controller from the main unit under the forward berth ... that had no effect. The trouble shooting guide says to "borrow" a known working controller from another boat and swap it out. Really ... I can just picture that conversation. "Excuse me ... can I take your air conditioner controller off your saloon wall and test it on my boat? Are you "@##$#@$ NUTS!
Any thoughts / suggestions?
Thanks
