Hello All, trying to diagnose my no heat situation on my cruisair sxr10 m10 unit. I have read all of the solutions and the issues with the reversing valve. I think I have figured out that the coil that activates the solenoid is not activating. I do have 120 Volts to the plug when in heat mode. But I am getting no "magnetism" from the coil when removed. And I have checked resistance and it is an "open". So, I need a coil. Have looked on the G**gle machine and nothing specific is coming up. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Just want everything working as it is supposed to. Thanks

Wish you were closer to WA state. Just pulled my cruiseair 12K, now sitting in the garage. I called in a tech who determined that failure was the compressor seals. We added more refrigerant, but the pressures were off. In theory, the coils and reversing valves are fine. We concluded that the cost to repair was greater than the cost to replace.

The reversing valve is easy to remove - 1 screw and two wires. It's about 1" by 1" in size...
Yes, the the solenoid coil portion of the reversing valve is easy to pull. The reversing valve itself is part of the refrigerant circuit. The solenoid is what makes the click sound. That part definitely works. I can send mine if Capecod can't locate a local source.

capecodcruiser - this may be your answer. If you put a screwdriver into the magnetic coil opening and get no magnetism when selecting heat, it is your coil. If its your reversing valve, you may be S O L...so to speak!

On my 410, one of my unit's reversing coil went out, and it was the simple fix of one bolt and two wires on a new (used) coil...

Exactly, went thru this diagnostic and no "magnetism" from the coil. Not saying the reversing valve isn't defective, but won't know until I resolve the solenoid issue first. Thanks for everyones help

Tacoma, sent you a PM. Thanks

I have the same Cruisair SXR 10-M10 A/C unit in our new-to-me 310 DA. I'd like to review the manual before trying to start it. Does anyone know where I can find an operator's manual? I've been searching on line and keep coming up empty.
