Ok, so from the beginning on my 2005 290AJ, 6.2L MPI Horizons, Bravo 3s, starboard engine:

Started idling rough, then would need to give throttle to get her started and keep her running.

Changed IAC.

Couple days later, went out was idling in neutral. Alarms starting going off, tach was jumping all over the place, overspeed message, so I shut it down. Went to start her up, crank but no start.

Got a computer on her a few days later, no codes other than pitot water pressure sensor.

Mechanic did compression test, battery load test, changed cap and rotor. She started up and ran. I started her at the dock several times that night.

Next day, started her early and shut her down. 30 minutes before going out, start her up, get the boat loaded alarms. Gauge says water pressure and shuts down. Crank no start again.

Change the sensor. Still cranks no start.

Take coil wire off the distributor, not getting spark.

Mechanic changes coil. Starts right up and runs sounds like she's sucking in a lot of air.

started her about 20x at the dock over 2 days. Ran fine other than the air sound.

Take her out for a test run just to see how she would do, and about 3-5 minutes in, at about 800 rpm, feel a bit of shuddering, engine shut itself down and back to crank no start ...

Is it possible the distributor needs to be replaced?
