I have installed a cradle point 1200B on the boat hooked to a rogue wave for wifi and a usb 4gLTE modem for failover. Everything works great except the failover part. Anytime I turn on the IPv4 failover check the cradle point will not connect to the rogue wave. Is anyone using a similar setup and if so could you share how you have configured failover. Cradle point has been of no help as there solution is to turn failover off, connect to the rogue wave and a wifi hotspot and then turn failover back on. This is not an acceptable way to operate the router as far as I am concerned. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

I have the rogue wave pro. It is hooked directly to a router. Mine seems to work fine. I don't know what a cradle
point or a failover is. Maybe you can quickly explain what they are.

The cradle point 1200B is the router I am using and it supports automatic failover between internet sources. This way if the wifi goes down the cellular modem will engage and carry the traffic. Sorry for not being clearer.

The failover never worked with CRT or something 500 (can't recall exact model but it was older small 500). It was low priority, so I never bothered to resolve the issue.

I have spoken with Cradlepoint support and they have suggested a couple fixes. One is to set a static IP between the rogue wave and the router as well as change some DNS settings. When I get back to the boat this weekend I am going to play around some more and see what happens. To be honest the cradle point tech guy did not seem very interested in helping. Disappointing to say the least especially since you have to pay to talk to them.
