Has anyone had an actual hose failure on some of these bilge hoses that are around 5 years old? or are these cracks superficial. Any and all comments appreciated. Thanks

I had a pinhole leak in a hose from the head to the vacuum tank; maddening to troubleshoot but an easy replacement. There have been lots of comments here about Sea Ray using a bad lot of hoses in the mid-2000s.

Sea Ray had some issues with defective sanitation hoses in 2007-2008. They replaced some at no charge if found early enough, you still might be lucky. I am in the process of replacing all mine, the hose manufacture is supplying replacement hose at no charge but I am paying the labor to have it replaced.

Any water carrying hose that looks iffy should probably be replaced. It's much cheaper than salvaging your boat after it sinks. Waste hoses aren't critical for the same reason, but I wouldn't want to have a leak there, either.
