Cracked Bilge Pumps

I have had problems on my 2008 48 Sundancer with my bilge pumps cracking. This has happened twice, and both times I found small cracks along the base. It's possible I may have bumped the aft units when doing service, but it's unlikely I struck the fore unit ahead of the battery box. Any thoughts?

My only thoughts would be:

1) It got bumped
2) The crack was already there
3) It was screwed down too hard

Thanks Dennis, I'm thinking the same. I do most of my own service and I may have inadvertently bumped them. But it's happened twice now, that's what puzzled me. Well, it's a pretty easy fix. Thanks again!
