i would like to keep the items in the side panel storage compartments as dry as possible...i have just ordered some waterproof caps for the rod holders to prevent water from entering the compartment that way...has anyone devised a cover of some sort that is used to cover the side compartments to keep rain or wash water out?...if so a pic of the cover would be good....i was thinking of using marine grade vinyl to cover the opening with a full length zipper installed across the opening to get to the contents of the compartments but that may prove to be cumbersome and somewhat restrictive...the vinyl could be attached to the plywood on the backside of the vinyl trim piece around the compartment...another design that could be removable would also be nice ...attached is a pic of the side compartment...this is not my boat but mine is very similar....
