Hey gang,
As some of you know, the wife and I recently purchased a 1990 Sea Ray 180 BR for our first boat. While the boat seems to be in pretty good condition, the Shorelander trailer is not so much.

1: The left fender is broken, and is quite an eyesore. I have checked into a replacement fender, contacted Shorelander and got the part number. However, mine is no longer made, mine has square steps, the ones they offer now have a 45 degree angle on the back side of the step from what I understand, so some cutting would be required, and I would need to get two at around 120 bucks per fender. I am thinking maybe I can find a cheaper aftermarket alternative?

2: The left hub shaft is a little bent, and has no cover over it. I assume this probably is not good, and should be covered. I bet the wheel may be difficult to get off as well with the shaft bent a little like it is. However I am thinking I am going to have to get the whole hub replaced? Is this a major undertaking, or would I be better off finding someone that does trailer repair? The side fender lights do not work as well. Brake, tailight, and turn signals all work fine. The axle must be fine, the trailer tracks straight and true.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Fenders can most likely be brought at a farm supply house near you or online. You will need to know the length of the fender you now have.
Left hub shaft: I think you better post a picture so we know what you are dealing with. Normally the axel will go through the hub. This is where your wheel bearings will be.
