We've had some pretty extreme heat the last couple of weeks in Western Australia, as a result the glue on the foam padding around the central opening screen on our windshield has melted and the foam peeled away from the window frame - so first question is anyone recommend what I can stick it back in place with? I was thinking Sika Flex but before getting that stuff everywhere thought it best to ask!

Second question on the central screen is that the stainless latch that secures the window open has lost a piece - does anyone know who makes this piece and where I can get a replacement? At the moment the screen has to be secured shut when running to avoid the pointed steel piece destroying the gelcoat on the deck.

I've searched the forum and can't find a reference to either of these.

That black foam stuff ALWAYS comes off - if it doesn't come completely off, it just sort of "slides" away from where it should be. Pain in the butt. We have a huge roll of this stuff in stock for just this purpose and hand it out like candy during the summer. Your thought is fine - can't hurt to try if you want to salvage the piece. Or, if you don't have a dealer nearby (or one that can easily ship to you), check a hardware store for similar weatherstripping. It doesn't have to be the exact stuff - just enough to cushion things.

I haven't come across any issues (no need to check on manufacturer) with that fancy window latch setup, yet. It could be made by someone like Taylor, Perko, Attwood or Sea Dog, etc. Or, it could be made specifically for Sea Ray by one of those companies (or another). If it's made just for Sea Ray, you may not be able to get it any other way than through a Sea Ray dealer. If there's no markings on it, you could try contacting Sea Ray directly - if you don't have any luck with that, let me know and I'll see what I can track down for you.

Thanks Dennis, I don't feel so bad about the padding now, and will chase up the catch/latch with the dealer.
