Do you spray anything on wires to prevent corrosion? Also I read on the internet that anti-seize is no good on a boat in salt water, they actually called it everseize. I always use anti-seize and have found it great.

Thanks

I use dielectric grease on connections. Don't need a lot - just a thin film.

Haven't heard that before about anti-seize - where did you find that? Was it a reputable place? I'm curious, too, if that's true.

I use Corrosion Block. No waxy residue (like Boeshield T-9). I spray all exposed (unpainted) metal in the ER with it, not just wiring.

Anti-seize compound has ground up aluminum or copper in it.......won't that tend to short electrical connections?

I hope it was two separate questions...

I also have used anti sieze on the boat, the strainers in particular. I bent a spanner wrench trying to get it off one time, so now I use antisieze on it. So far I haven't had a problem with it.

For corrosion protection there is also a product called CorrosionX, http://www.corrosionx.com/ma_use.html . Haven't tried it yet though, so no comments one way or the other on its performance.

Yes it was two separate question. Thanks for the replies. I have heard of corrosion x before and should have thought of it. (used to water proof radio's in r/c seaplanes). I have some dielectric grease sitting in one of my cars I'll give that a try also.

This isn't the first place I have read about the anti-seize but its one if could find
