Pseudomind was asking about coolers on a swim platform in another thread so I thought I would show this product I found at the Annapolis Boat Show. Its a set of these real rubbery cushy feet (literally) that you can adhere to the bottom of your cooler. They will virtually hold your cooler in place - no more sliding. Of course on a swim platform you would still need some kind of bungee or strap to keep the cooler from tipping off the back, but even in this case you would not need any elaborate system to hold the cooler. Anyway, if anybody buys a set let us know how they work - http://www.coolerslips.com/

I keep mine on the swim platform

I use the "Kennedy" Tie Downs and they work great

When the cooler's gone it's not a trip hazard either.
These feet may be nice to keep from scuffing anything, but I also haven't noticed an issue.
