Cool custom cockpit table for my 340

First of all thanks for the compliments....I designed it but Rich Goodale deserves the credit for building it and coming up with the cherry border with the teak interior and gold epoxy striping. I'm in the brass business so I had the compass rose laser cut and polished.
This is the third attempt I've made at a perfect cockpit table and I obsessed over the design, of course....which I'm very pleased with, the durability and of course the fine furniture appearance. Hey this is where we spend all our time ...... on a $100K++ boat....why compromise with a plastic table?
I really didn't want this to sound like an ad to promote this table I just wanted to share probably 2 years of design trial and error with the group.
i would direct questions of cost to Rich Goodale in Florida.
I believe he is a longtime advertiser on CSR.

I have done business with Rich at Goodale Marine and had him make teak floors made for the cabin, head and companionway step. I am currently working with him on a custom table for my 280 Sundancer. I can't stand the little round plastic table that came with the boat. I am looking forward to an elegant teak table that fits the space more appropriately. It undoubtedly expensive but I can certainly vouch for his quality. The typical turn-a-round time is two to three weeks depending on the complexity of the job.

The challenge for my table was of course, inlaying the brass compass rose. I had it made with CNC programming and then sent Rich the file so he could load it into his CNC woodworking equipment and make it happen.
Then of course, the cherry border, gold epoxy stripe around the perimeter, and teak center all covered in the epoxy finish....a tall order for anyone!
Only "bad" thing is I now have a table I have to take in every night...not gonna leave that beauty outside!

Jason, if you would provide a photo when you get your table. I am building my own table for the 280, but it would be great see other designs.

Does the table fit in the area underneath the deck in the spot that the OEM table was without modification?

No, the OEM table was much smaller so some mods are in order to be able to store the table in the ER.

Rich g does great work. He made some teak steps for me last year. Just oiled them up today and they look like new again. Bridog posted some good pics awhile back as well.
