I've probably got a snowball's chance in hell, but before I cough up $3k for a new convertible enclosure for my Reagan era boat, I thought I'd throw it out there. Who knows, maybe someone has upgraded to a bimini top and has an old convertible enclosure/frame. It's an 85 Sundancer 260. Condition and color are not terribly important. Having the frame alone would probably save me some bucks.

I tried to sell, then give mine away, but finally tossed it after a couple of years. The new one was over $5,000. Sorry.
Are you trying to find a Bimini, or a full enclosure? Even it you have it made, you may want to consider getting both - could actually be cheaper. The bimini, just the roof part, will give you shade on a small frame. You can get a mooring cover to snap on when you leave. That can go on with the bimini still in place. You don't really need a complex stainless steel frame for a bimini. You can get one made of aluminum, which is much cheaper and will work just fine for a bimini. You may be able to find those online, but drilling the holes to install them may be a task.

Well, I already have a bimini with the aluminum frame and I also have a cover. Here are my problems with the current arrangement:

1. The Bimini top is made of vinyl and doesn't really match the boat. It's a greyish color and the boat is tan hulled.
2. The aluminum bimini frame seems kind of flimsy. The plastic connectors tend to pop off at inopportune times.
3. There are no front or side curtains. I need some rain protection. That's my biggest issue. Currently, if it's raining, I have to put the boat cover on to keep the boat dry.

Perhaps I should look into having some clear front and side curtains made and new canvas for the top and just keep the aluminum framed bimini I've already got.

Warren,
Just had a side curtain made for my boat today. $90 for one, so your looking at 180 for 2 from Catawba Canvas Company, 740-797-2050
