Considering a mid-late 90s Sundancer 270 - Questions ?

I have the 98 270SE. We do weekend trips w 2 adults and 2 kids and small dog. Can get a little tight with luggage, food, and everything else. Like Mike said the quality is great. I keep mine in a slip. I have added an extended swim platform. Expensive but worth every penny for anchoring and swimming, especially with kids. Also added wider trim tabs, auto tab controller, tab indicator lights, new stereo, USB ports for the electronics, new thru hull with plotter, change out standard bulbs with LED and in the middle of a windlass install. No air conditioning but we use a carry on unit. Next boat WILL have air. Last boat was carb with bravo 1. Love the 454 MPI with bravo 3. 8 people can go out for the day with no problem. 4 is a little cramped for overnights but doable.
 
And Yes get a survey. Saved me $3000 in out drive service work that the seller discounted.
