Conowingo Dam opened (Friday morning 9/3/21)

Heard a couple of reports of some debris littering the bay…

Anyone been out on the Mid/Upper Bay since Friday that can report back?

We planned a Still Pond weekend from Annapolis but with the dam opening we have just laid back.

Out yesterday. Definitely some stuff out there in the middle river area.

I posted in another thread an article from Chesapeake Bay magazine about this. Article from friday said hazardous boating conditions, debris could take 5 days to get south of Annapolis.

We were out yesterday. We went from The Bush River over to Fairlee Creek. We didn't see much in the water until we got over between the channel and the eastern shore. It wasn't a lot of debris, but definitely some branches and logs floating by. I took it slow and had no problems. There were actually quite a few boats out.

I used to see that on starboard going out from Otter Creek, looks nice.
