Compared CSR to other sites.

I found the site when I first bought our 370. The salon runner and stair carpet sunbrella covers were pretty dirty. I googled "cleaning sea ray carpet runners." or something similar. Anyway, one of the top threads was one with clubsearay.com in the address. Intrigued I clicked and the rest is history.

The Admiral and I are amazed at the information that we found here. The people are great and overwhelmingly helpful. We made the trip to Knoxville last year and made many great new boater friends. Lucky's and I spend way to much time trading text messages and Facebook chatting about this and that. I text Monaco and Jim sometimes just to say hi, other times to ask a question. We hosted GFC and GW here in Kelowna last year and had a nice cruise on our new to us 370. We only wish our holiday hadn't been cancelled this coming weekend to hang out in Florida with Shaun & Heather.

This is not just a boating site...it's a community. I love contributing, posting and hanging out here. Thanks to all and specifically to Jim for keeping it going, Rusty for being Rusty and Frank for his over the top knowledge and advice.

There is no comparison to this site in my opinion!

It's been a long hard road to get where we are. I really have to weed through the feedback and implement what is really going to be helpful, not just what a few individuals want. This site really does have a wealth of knowledge, and a great mojo about it. Moving forward I would really love to get a focus on local events. The spring and summer is when these events happen but its also when I have the least amount of time to be helpful since I am in the seasonal boat biz. But I really want to keep building the Sea Ray community both online and offline.

Jim. You do a great job. Let me know if I can help.

Jim,
Any thought about out organizing a mid-bay gathering somewhere to break the winter funk after the holidays? Could be as simple as picking a local restaurant or bar to gather and let folks fend for themselves food/beverage wise. Could also look at something more organized food and beverage wise too. I personally lean toward keeping it simple, but that's just my preference.

James

Sounds good to me. Would love to have a winter get together.

I visit CSR almost every single day. It's my primary boating information source. I trust the information I get here more than any other boating site.

I sincerely appreciate all those who take their time to contribute to help their fellow boaters.

+:thumbsup::thumbsup: Well said!

This is a great site with tons of great info.....no need to go any place else for Sea Ray info, Mike.

I'm not sure how I found CSR but I've sure enjoyed being here. When I helped take that boat from Seattle to Stockton I posted almost identical comments and photos on 4 different sites. CSR had the highest number of responses from the membership, and that made me feel good about being here.

Great group of people, great information sharing on here, and it's just a fun place to hang out. I'm usually here 2-3 times a day, just soaking up the fun and sun.

I was too lazy to read through this entire topic, so this may be a repeat: the heck with the look and avatars, the other sites don't have Frank Webster and Rusty!

One thing we do here is police each other. If someone comes here posting BS they are dealt with. Many who post here are professionals in these areas and know when someone is giving bad or damaging info. I have researched some of the repair suggestions and have found them to be spot on. Since I know the depth of knowledge here I make sure any info I may give is backed up by previous experience.

This is an excellent forum Since I am retired I have time to look at a lot of boating sites and I have narrowed it down to five. This and one other are the top two on my list. I always recommend it to other Sea Ray Owners. Like someone said I am shocked when other Sea Ray owners have never heard of CSR.

It's nice coming to a site for the make of boat you own. The loyalty and respect to Sea Ray helps the site . This respect is also is shown to its member no matter if you own a $3,000.00 or $150000.00 boat. This broad range of people and interests along with how well the site works makes this site number one in my opinion .

 +1. After first reading this thread I spent some time on a few other sites just to see if I was missing anything. Surprisingly to me, BOC turned out to be one of the few sites that caught my interest. Those folks are just as fond of their boats as we are of our Sea Rays. Some of the projects they are undertaking are interesting to read about too. There,,, see? I said something nice about another site,,,, and now I appreciate CSR, and my Sea Ray, even more. Keep up the good work everyone.
