i was curious if anyone had any recommendations on what size LED lights to install. i am thinking about going with the oceal led's. i was torn between 2- A12's or 3-A6's. it saves a little money with the 6's but i want this to be a once and for all project. also i was wondering there were problems with installing blue vs. white. i thought maybe law enforcement wouldnt like the blues? and if i did decide to go with the white,,, warm white or super bright white???

thanks in advance...

Scoot .... I went with all blue indirects.....turns the cockpit a soft blue.....no blue light emitted from the cockpit to the outside......second year with them and have attended many water functions in the area, no compaints yet about the blues......also have 3 two color lights in the arch....red and white...haven't used them since I installed the blues though......
I tied mine into the existing indirect lighting circut......consisted of housing, break light bulb and plastic cover ....my leds take less power than 2 of the originals, so no worries on the wiring...

I could be wrong but I think he's talking about underwater lights because I've seen those labeled A12s A6s etc. If you are talking about underwater LEDs I havent heard any law enforcement issues with blue or white. I heard someone talk about red having issues but it wasnt even in the states. I've been looking into doing this too. I dont think you'll be sorry with any of your choices but try to find some pics online or find someone with them if you can because it is tough to know just what any person is expecting. As an example, if you want deep light penetration down or outward, white is the way to go. If you want a cool blue hue that is a little more for looks of the light color and less about deep light or brightness, blue is good. Ive seen both and blue looks pretty sharp but then I see white and as long as the water is nice, the white looks really good too so its tough. BTW, red and orange look really intense if they are directed out to the wake and you run at night, looks like flame. Check out this video of a somewhat expensive Lumishore version that can change colors on the go or even work with music. The dang thing costs about $3500 though so Im out, but it looks good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVP-IGhcblY
