Does anyone know what the exact color is called for the "tan" color Bimini & Camper top on a 2004 280 Sundancer? I am trying to match to the original color and finding out that there are a lot of shades of tan.

If you download the parts manual on searay.com you can find it there. But generally it has been referred to as "Toast".

It's called Toast-Tweed, from Sunbrella. The original manufacturer that supplies Sea Ray is a company called Great Lakes Boat Top Co. They have all the original templates and can replace any of the parts exactly (including the cabin carpet runners). I bought a new front bimini over the winter and installed it last weekend. I was amazed that even though the boat is 7 years old, the old canvas had not faded at all and matched the new one perfectly. If you go this route, buy their snap tool as well as you need to install the snaps yourself (I can share a couple lessons learned about this process as well!).

If you are buying fabric only, a canvas shop can match it exactly...you don't have to buy it from Great Lakes. The tops are water proof with vinyl, the sides are acrylic canvas only. I can get the mfg p/n if you want. A local canvas shop made a new front centre piece that is the same as the original, but has a screen instead of eisenglass, and they bought the exact fabric. If you are getting some canvas work done, another modification I had done was to the camper enclosure. The factory piece has a smallish square window that cannot be opened. I had this changed to an eisenglass/screen that is almost the entire size of the back, with a dual zipper allowing different options for opening. I can snap a pic if you are interested. It makes a big difference in the cockpit.

All good info. Just to add, yours may not but my model year had different canvas colors - "toast" or "putty" - depending on the hull number. Great Lakes is great, but they sent me the wrong color even though I gave them my hull number. The correct color for my mine is listed in the parts manual, specified by hull number. Also, you can see Sunbrella swatches on line that are generally decent enough to tell the difference between the colors. So much easier if you get the color right the first time.
