Fellow Boatowners,

I am looking to engage with you on how you prepare your props for the boating season.

My props are clean of marine growth but has oxidation and appears dull. The props are bronze. Is it the collective wisedom, to polish them? If so how is that done?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Only the very best,

You can polish with a cleaner or buffer, but they will be dull again after only
a short time in the water.

I've had good luck with Prop Speed on the underwater gear.

Never heard of polishing a prop. We just keep them properly scanned and balanced. Marine growth is not an issue for those of us in the Great Lakes who use our boats on a regular basis.
