My canvas/upholstery guy presently has surprisingly little work in his pipeline.

A good bit of the cockpit canvas on my 1996 450DA is tired.

Looking for photos/suggestions/ideas/examples of what others have done to "update" the design, as I will likely take advantage of this opportunity.

I’m mostly in the minority on this opinion but if/when we reupholster our 410 it will be in white vinyl and in the same pattern as the original. Some of the aftermarket and custom interiors look ok, but I very much like the oem look

One thing I would like to do is make our aft facing portion of the ‘U seating’ more comfortable as you feel like you’re sliding off. A bit more thigh bolster would help with that. On the 450’s I’ve been on that doesn’t seem to be a problem as much since that back seat is more circular

Here is what I went with a couple years ago. I get a lot of compliments on it

THANK YOU !

I'm saving those photos to a file for discussion and looking for more.

A few of my 2005

I added the X pattern in blue stitching.

Can't seem to find any pics right off, but we completely redid the cockpit of the 420DA. My wife worked with the upholsterer to get what she wanted, but the best thing we did was to replace the foam at the same time. Made all of the difference in the world.

this is an interesting execution, perhaps not quality wise, but color wise it's a good update.

My guy wanted to get away from the pillow / rounded look and go more modern edges. I am happy with it definitely makes the boat look newer. In Florida I have to stay white colors just too hot.

Almost complete.

Of note, One of the first things I did after moving this boat from Los Angeles to Florida was to have snap-in canvas made to protect the helm station, top of the companionway door, deck hatches, spotlight, windlass, and all the soft goods in the cockpit, including the side bolsters from the Florida sun the goal being to protect the vinyl and extend the life. I can't emphasize the importance of this enough.

Progress photos here:
