cockpit TV

anyone found a good way to store a cockpit TV? I have a flat screen with pole that sits in slot on bar/sink in cockpit. I have been storing below when not in use just laying on aft sofa.....not ideal. A protective case would be perfect but don't know where to look.

I would love to see how you mount the TV, I want to do the same thing but haven't come up with a good/attractive mount. Do you have pictures you can share?

Scott...did you put anything underneath, such as plywood or some other backing material for the screws to "bite" into?

How about a nice sunbrella cover with soft liner to protect the screen.

This is excellent! Just what I'm looking for. Did you buy the mount or do some "creative modifications". I'm being a pain but can I see a picture of the back. Would a PM be more appropriate?

Really like the mount. Have been trying to find a better option that the $225 or so it will cost, but I am not getting any better ideas.

I think we are going to ask our seamstress to get a couple of sheaths for the flags and a cover for the tv at the same time, and same material. I'm thinking it can't be that big a deal.

Scott, your link answered all of my questions. Maybe a little pricey but it looks damn good. I downloaded the 44 DA parts manual a came up with 1807962, Cockpit TV mount 18 1/2" and 1807963 mount base. I will order mine tomorrow. I am going to order 2 bases. If I like it as well as I think I will, I may just put one in the Galley.

when you got the TV mount did it have any documentation
with it. Can you tell who the mfg was. Maybe we could buy direct?
