I am installing a TV in the cockpit. I have worked the cable wire to go through the hull with the rest of the cables, power cords etc. What is the best and easiest way to go through the caulking? Is it best to cut through the area I am going through and reinstall with new caulking? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Look to see if there is a plastic wire loom - you may find an existing "channel" to get through the silicone. The looms are split so you do need an open end (although from my expierience they are usually jammed full). second method is to try 'gentle' poking with a phillips head screw driver (you dont want to slice or fray a wire), you should be able to follow this pilot hole with your wire/cable and apply fresh silicone around your new wires (both sides if accessible). Good luck. Just did this the past week and I was able to run the antenna coax into a wire loom and through the bulk head w/o tearing up my arms too bad!
