Have a leaking cockpit scupper that needs to be re bedded but can't seem to remove it. I've loosened the plastic flange nut and freed the rubber gasket from the underside of the deck but I can't figure out how to separate the part to get it out of the hole. :smt100 Has anyone got experience with re bedding these or changing them out?

I saw a thread somewhere about useing a threaded bolt ,two large washers and nuts, and a couple of wood blocks to make a puller.Large washer inside boat bigger than fitting by a bit ,really large washer big enough to put blocks under along side of outer through hull nut on each end.Turn outer nut to pull fitting out.

I'd say use a heat gun, but being so close to the engine bay, may not be wise? The bolt and washer idea could work too, but go slowly.
Take pics and/or video of what you end up doing.

Thanx for the response 1956olds. These are the scuppers in the deck, under the engine hatch though. They're already loose and flopping around, but I just can't seem to seperate the two halves to get it out of the hole in the deck. The flange on the top side prevents removal from below, and the nut on the bottom won't clear the 45 degree bend so I can remove it from above as they usually are removed. Maybe pics will help, I'll get 'em today. Any excuse for another trip down to the boat eh?
