I would like ability to dim the cockpit LED lights for night cruising, yet still be able to turn them bright again for dockside cleanup and retarping. There have been many threads here replacing them with different bulbs but my first choice would be to be able to dim them to different intensity levels.
Has anybody done this before? If so, where did you splice into the circuit? My other concern is regarding the helm switch pad and the aft EIM. Will a PWM dimmer have a negative effect on these very expensive and hard to replace parts?

Thought about dimming, but ended up replacing for the ones that change color to blue or red by hitting the switch. Red is great for night cruising

Superwa...that could be a possibility..where did you get the bulbs and what bulb part number?

Something I've immediately done when I've purchased the last three boats is to swap out the OEM arch lights and put in Lumitec Mirage's. Polished housing -White (very bright), white dimmable, red, and blue. Significantly much better looking, and far superior from a functional perspective.

If you buy the lumitec mirage with dimming. Then they will come up to brightness over the course of about 5 seconds. You can quickly tap your switch which will hold them at the level they are at. Accomplished exactly what you want.
