Cockpit Ice Maker to Fridge

My ice cube maker was the size of a 30pk of beer.

I've been thinking about doing the same as in post #13 and use the space as a freezer. We bag our ice using the fridge ice maker at home during the week and it does us for the w/e. The Admiral aslo makes lots of pucks in the rubermaid muffin trays in the basement deep freezer and she uses these for the cooler. We find that our ice from home lasts longer than the bought bags from the marina. Perhaps ours are frozen at a lower temperature?

How are things going? Are you thinking about another boat soon?

Hi Ken,

We are in the process of buying a mid 80's 50' CPMY. My wife found it and loves it. I would have been happy with a 50' Sundancer but hey....at least we're boating again. Its been a long year.

The ice you make at home is bigger and more dense. I have a few ice machines at our businesses and one makes shavings and the other makes small , hallow cubes. Neither lasts as long as the cubes at home.

Did you look at the 50 Dancer in Alameda? There was also one a little older in Pittsburg...

I made a white and black panel for the ice maker door...All the weeping rust is gone and corrected..........Just saved $1,500.00 replacing it....

Yup, We had a soda machine that had a cold plate that went under the ice bin. When we used ice from the ice maker everything was fine. One day the ice maker broke and we had to use ice from the freezer and the soda machine stopped working. When the service guy got there he explained that ice from the freezer is much colder than ice from the ice maker.

during the summer my icemaker is going non-stop, so is the blender.
