I’m thinking about modifying my cockpit cover so I can keep my Bimini top up WITH the cockpit cover on. As it is now my support poles for both front and rear Bimini tops are not the issue but the straps that hold the front down cannot be clipped to the windshield frame while the cockpit cover is on. I’m absolutely fine making a hole in the cover and seeing on a Velcro flap to cover when the Bimini is not up. My bigger concern is that rain water will run down the taunt strap and into the cockpit. Am I over thinking this? Is there any kind of diverter or anything that can be wrapped around the Bimini support strap to prevent water entry? Trying to find a pic to make things easier. Thanks

Put an old beach towel on the helm beneath each place where a strap runs down, or put some kind of plastic jug where the water drips to catch it.

A piece of eisenglass with a slit in it. slide it over the strap then slide down over the canvas just above the clip. shape it big enough so it causes the water to "shingle" down past the opening. Should stop most of the water
