My cabin CO monitor is beeping every 30 seconds or so with a single beep. Many ideas why? Engines are not running.,.only way to stop it is to disconnect its power leads.

How old is the monitor? What brand is it? The Xintex ones have a set lifespan (five years I think). Once they have exceeded that time they will beep.

End-of-Life (EOL)
The unit is equipped with a 5 year EOL timer. This timer is continuously operatedindependently from a lithium battery. When the timer has run for 4 years and 11 monthsfrom the date of manufacture, the unit will signal the first EOL (green LED – Off, red LED– On, horn – Int. Beep every 30 sec.) alarm.
While the unit is EOL alarming, press and hold the test/silence button until both lightscome on. This is will reset the device to normal operation for 72 hours. This processcan be repeated during the next 30 days. After this time the unit will continually signalEOL and will no longer detect CO. (unit must be replaced)

Check your boat batteries, if your batteries run low this will happen. If you Charge them up, plug it back it in see if it goes away.

+1. I would think the EOL alarm is independent of the low power alarm and disconnecting the unit wouldn't have an effect.

The Xintex is a nice unit. I have the CMD-4MR-RLY model. It is the only one I would consider because of the gennie auto shut down feature. I use that and a couple of Kidde home units next to the forward and aft berths.

Wow...ok, didn't know about the EOL alarm. I knew the low batt issue as it has happened on the hook before but went away once power was restored. I'll look into a new one.

Madifonzo,
I had the same problem. EOL had expired by 3 years. I purchased new one and it was only a couple of months old based on the EOL date on the new unit.
