For some reason my CO detector has lost it 12v dc supply (yellow wire) Ground is fine. Also it is the supply to the stereo for station memory .

I have just replaced the battery switches and cleaned all batt connections, everything else is ok and works as it should.

I know this is a permanent ON supply. Where does the yellow supply wire originate ?

Any ideas ?

Just in case anyone was worried

I found my problem... the PO had spliced into the CO detector supply at the bilge breaker box (badly, to connect a live well water pump) and broken the wire.

So, should anybody ever need it ( or a perm 12v dc supply) the answer to my question is...

The supply to the CO detector is taken from the bilge breaker box - yellow wire
