Just wondering if anyone made it to the Mid-America Boat Show at the IX Center in Cleveland this past weekend. We had planned on going Sunday but my return flight to Cleveland was delayed and we did not have enough time to make the show. We are planning on going later this week, but wanted to know if it was worth the time and effort to see the this year's show.

I usually go every year but decided to stay home this year. I am also interested to know how many big boats were brought in etc.

I went over with a few friends, it was alot smaller than years past.....maybe 1/2 the size. No Carver booths, no Marine-max. Largest boat was a 39' S.R. There was a larger presence of used boats this year but I didn't see any "fire-sale" deals. Everything I saw seemed to be the same deal you could get off the lot with a little negotiating.

I still had fun, ate some lobster bisque and browsed for a couple hours. I doubt I'll go back but it was worth it just to be around the boats in Jan.

Bunch of us from our dock are going this weekend. Was hoping for bigger boats than a 39  Oh well, we'll have fun getting together with everyone anyway

You're in luck then! There's a 6-year old 420DA.

I actually liked seeing the used boats. They provide some variety.

Someone had shined up a 330DA and put her out in the middle of the isle. A constant stream of traffic boarded her. They hung a "Sold" sign on her before I had my second beer on Saturday.

I was very disappointed in the show. About half the size of last years show (which was also downsized) We went on the first Sat. Very small crowd. Boaters Point had some nice used Sea Rays. A 42 and a couple of 34's. Several of the larger vendors were also absent. It was still a nice get-a-way though! They did have some really nice looking Lymans....

Bob, who the heck is "Boaters Point"?

They seemed to be the dominant vendor at the show, but I don't think I've ever heard of them.

Sima had used 33 Cruisers and a Key West CC.

Marine Max had at least a rep there, but I don't remember seeing any of their boats.

I spent a good half hour on the Everglades. I can see why you like them Buck. I liked the 27 more than I did the 32.

Headed there tommorow. Hopefully it doesn't suck to bad. Not really looking for a boat but am looking for a marina. Any one see any of the East harbor West harbor marinas there?

pounded the crap out of my 27 yesterday and today...fishing and the winds kicked up and today was 20k beam seas running from green turtle to treasure in teh abacos.

did you see the wahoo i caught --106 lbs?

The IX center is one huge building...gotta love the big ferris wheel in the middle!
