Hey Guys,

What do you use on your newer boat wood interior. 2013 Venture. I have the wood that is not glossy and I tried aerospace on it and it just leaves swirls and smudges everywhere.

-see picture for type of wood (Not my model but same wood interior)

cool thanks. i guess I really don't need any protectant on it since its in the cabin.

Might take you several wipe downs over time to get whatever product you have on there off
The previous owner of my boat was using something, and it took most of last season with regular warm water damp wipe downs to get whatever it was off and reduce the smudging whenever anyone touched a cabinet.
It’s the oily product that causes most of the smudging.
If your in a rush to strip it, then dipping a micro fiber in Dawn with warm water might be the way to go.

Got it, thanks for the tips. Any experience with mirrors? Somebody used a multi surface cleaner on the head mirrors and they are all foggy now. I've tried water and glass cleaner and nothing seems to be working.

I like Sprayaway Glass Cleaner in the aerosol can. You can get it at Home Depot, but Windex or similar product should work too.
If neither of those products will strip away whatever film is on the mirror you can use the same Dawn mixed in a small bucket with warm water solution. That should strip away whatever is on there.
Once you have it where you want it, the glass cleaner should get it perfect again.
One of the few things you don’t want to use Dawn on is rubber because it will dry it out.
