Hello all. Any good tips for cleaning the props, shafts, and rudders from my newest project boat? It has been sitting in salt water for a while, most likely, all its life up untill maybe a couple of years ago so they are nice and crusty.

Other than the obvious neumatic wire wheel, is there anything that I should spray on it first to help loosen? The shafts, I'm sure, are stainless. The props brass? The rudders, no idea. Maybe one of you inboard pros can chime in here. The boat is an 88 Sea Ray 300 Weekender w/ twin 5.7's.

Thanks
Jim

A long handled scraper that you can get 2 hands on and some good gloves then go to it. This isn't brain surgery, just hard, dirty work where finesse isn't very helpful.
