Looking for methods for Cleaning my Bravo III Outdrive. Not crazy about working with acids. Thanks

What 'stuff' are you trying to clean off?

Pressure wash, wire brush, sand.

Do not use a wire brush - it will leave trace metals on the aluminum and set up a "dissimilar metals" situation, also be careful of pressure washing around the bellows, etc......I use scotchbrite pads then a fresh coat of brush on Trilux

The normal crap buildup from fresh water use(Ct River). I have used Purple Power in the past and it helps but never gets the shine back.

Slimy Grimy. Or buy oxalic acid generically. Don't worry, it's a safe acid.

The Purple Power would not have damaged your paint. It's possible that it just didn't get all of the crap off. Try some cleaner wax.

Almost any good toilet bowl cleaner works reasonably well. The best way to make them look new is a product like Zing. But that is HCL and requires great care, as it ruins clothes, can burn skin and be hard on driveways.

All, I used Slimy Grimy and scotchbrite pads and the outdrive looks like new again. Thanks for all the ideas.
