thanks mike!! ya i couldnt believe it, i knew it was oxidized but WHEW!! she was pretty bad, i bought a 3 stage buffing system with the meguiers 1 step compund/polish and wax. first pad is a wool/cutting pad that i use with the 1 step, then the second pad is a yellow foam cutter/polish pad that i also use the 1 step and then i go to the third pad wich is a black/polisher pad with the wax and its a night and day difference from the before and after. after i get the whole boat done then ill go and wash it all down again, and apply the wax with a hand applicater and prolly give her 2-3 coats before winter gets here. have you ever de-striped a boat? or anything for that matter? if so what did you use? i got this 3m rubber wheel from the local detail shop and that thing took the striping and the adhesive right off without hurting the gelcoat at all! if anyone decided to re-stripe their boat like i am i wouldnt use anything else, i had the whole boat de-striped in about 2 hours tops!!!
