New to me 2002 270 Sundeck. While cleaning out the boat and learning all the systems, I found a mysterious hole in the front bilge. There was a lot of debris around the front pump so I thought I would pull the cover, make sure it worked and clean all the gel coat chips from it and there is a hole behind the pump. Is this supposed to be there? I thought at first it was a drain to the rear bilge but there is some softer foamish material in there.
Not sure how a hole would get here as this area is covered with a big wooden box covering the bilge pump. Also, would it hurt to put bleach in here? It smelled pretty bad. Curious if other 270s have this mysterious hole. If I need to plug it, what would I fill it with?
