I just finished waxing the boat. I have the 7" foam applicator pads that get velcroed onto the main pad. How do you guys get these things clean of the wax. I put them in warm dish soap water last night but not sure if that will work or there is a better way. Any better suggestions?

Because I only use these once a year and they are pretty much gone when I am done.....I just get rid of and buy new ones in the spring.......cheap enough

I toss them in the washer with the rags. I use hot water, the "full load" measure of laundry detergent, and the extra rinse cycle. Rub a little detergent into the pads when you put them in.

Let them air dry.

I just soak them in tide laundry detergent, rinse them and air dry. They are now 5 years old and still in great shape.

While I'm working on the boat I drop the dirty pads in a bucket with Snappy Clean. If I've used only one or two pads then I spray them with Simple Green & throw them in the laundry room so Kim can run them through the wash.

You can use dish soap but it takes forever to get all the soap rinsed out.
