Hi everyone, I just purchased an older 1960’s Sea Ray boat. I’m hoping someone on here is able to help me identify some information about this specific hull and engine. I believe it’s a 1969, and know it’s a Model 700 at 16’ 6”. Can anyone confirm the year? Everything I have found online is for boats manufactured after 1972. Is there anything else y’all could share with me based on the attached pictures? I purchased it from the granddaughter of the original owner, and it’s completely original! Thanks!

God lookin' boat. By guessing the ser # 77369, it would be the 3rd boat in the 77 series built 1969. Just guessing though. I am certain someone on here will have the right answer.

He likes your Johnson Lol. Too funny

Sea Ray themselves might be able to help you. They were pleasant and helpful for me with my '81 a few years ago. There's a Contact Us form on their site.

Thanks! Unfortunately, due to the age they had very limited information.

Ah that's a shame. Sometimes you get lucky and some old timer who remembers the serial number scheme or whatever you wanted gets an answer to you. Hope you figure it out. And she's a beautiful boat too!

Not only is it in original condition, it's only been in the water twice, and in a UV-protected electrostatically stabilized vacuum chamber since then! If there were any microfractures in the gelcoat, I'd be convinced that it was cryogenically frozen in carbonite (along with Han Solo) for half a century...

What WAS Osborne's, is now Harry's Tap Room... so no way you'll ever get response from the original dealership... but what you have IS a SeaRay Model 700. You won't find a Hull Identification Number on THAT transom.

The 80 has a long-shaft extension kit, but doesn't appear to have electric shift. The former is a fine thing, the latter... well... lots of electric shifts fell into disfavor because they woudn't-electric-shift....
